Quality
QualityRuZ1, that stands for the highest zinc quality.
Zinc with a purity content of 99.995% is designated as 'Z1'. Our primary zinc is traded under the name of RuZ1 on the London Metal Exchange (LME), the international raw material market.
Thanks to our own patents we are, moreover, at the leading edge with regard to many aspects of zinc production.
Continuous checks at all process stages, our own laboratory as well as certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 guarantee constant high quality.
Additional research and development close to business operations which we reinforce by means of active cooperation with universities and institutions of higher education, carried out further development of ideas for improvement on the laboratory scale. If they prove suitable they are incorporated into the production system.
In our technical institute, all of the process steps of the wet plants - lixiviating plant, electrolyte purification, mixing station and electrolysis - are constantly optimized and further developed.
For us quality also means conservation of resources. Thanks to a process developed by us, during zinc production we use more than 40% secondary raw materials (Waelz oxides). So far, no other company anywhere in the world has the technology to be able to do that.
